ABLETON LIVE PERFORMANCE IN PERFEKTION
Aus
einer engen Partnerschaft zwischen Ableton und Akai Professional
entstanden, ist der APC40 der perfekte Ableton Live Controller. Jedem
elektronischen oder traditionellen Musiker sowie DJ, der mit Live auf
der Bühne oder im Studio performt, bietet der APC40 intuitive
und
leistungsfähige Steuerungsmöglichkeiten.
DIRECT DESIGN
Durch
die konzentrierte Zusammenarbeit von Akai Professional mit Ableton bei
der Entwicklung des APC40 für Live, wurde ein besonderes
Augenmerk auf
eine komfortable Anbindung des Controllers an die Live Software gelegt.
So muss eine Zuweisung der Controller an die Software nicht erfolgen.
Um sofort mit einer Perfomance zu beginnen ist nur eine einfache USB
Verbindung zwischen Laptop und APC40 notwendig. Erfahrene Live Anwender
können die Zuweisung jedes einzelnes Bedienelements des APC40
ändern,
um den Controller dem jeweiligen Performance-Style anzupassen.

Die
Kommunikation zwischen APC40 und Live erfolgt in beide Richtungen.
Diese einzigartige bidirektionale Kommunikation erlaubt
Rückmeldungen
aus der Software zum APC40 Controller. Über die 40 Trigger und
LED
Ringe der Clip Matrix siehst du in Echtzeit den Status der Live
Software: welcher Clip ist geladen, welcher spielt gerade ab und auf
welchem Clip wird etwas aufgenommen. Verschiedene farbliche Absetzung
stellen den jeweiligen Status des Clips an. Diese Arbeitsweise ist
außergewöhnlich intuitiv und wird in
kürzester Zeit zur Routine.
Der
APC40 besitzt zusätzlich 16 Regler, die jeweils von einem
LED-Ring
umfasst sind. Dank dieser LED Ringe ist das Ablesen der Parameterwerte
auf dunklen Bühnen einfach möglich. Die visuellen
Rückmeldungen
fokussieren den User beim Arbeiten mit dem APC40 mehr auf die Musik und
nicht auf das Computer Display. Schnell wird der Computer zur
Nebensache und kann unbeachtet bleiben!
PREMIUM CONTROLS
Ableton
wählte Akai Professional gezielt als Partner aus, weil Akai
Professional der Markführer für professionelle und
robust verarbeitete
Controller ist. Von der legendären MPC Serie, die die Welt der
Musikproduktion grundlegend verändert hat, bis zu den
einzigartigen MPD
und MPK Controllern, werden Geräte von Akai Professional von
Musikern,
DJs und Produzenten gerade dann bevorzugt, wenn es auf das richtige
Feeling ankommt. Das robuste Gehäuse des APC40 besteht aus
Metall und
rutschfestem Gummi. Die soliden Regler und Fader sind ideal
für exakte
Steuerungen. Der APC40 besitzt sogar einen professionellen,
austauschbaren Crossfader.
CREATIVE CONTROL
Für
den Schnelleinstieg muss man kein Live Experte sein. Der APC40 wird mit
einer Spezialversion von Ableton Live Lite ausgeliefert. User, die
bereits Live verwenden, finden ein kostenloses Patch zur Aktualisierung
ihrer Live Vollversion, damit sie die Vorteile der APC40 voll
ausschöpfen können. Der APC40 besitzt zwei
Bänke mit acht Reglern.
Dabei steuert die erste Reglerbank die globalen Parameter, für
sofortigen Zugriff auf die Main Sends, Panorama- und andere wichtige
Parameter. Die acht Regler der zweiten Bank werden dynamisch mit den
Parametern des gewählten Tracks gekoppelt. Gleichzeitig lassen
sich
acht Track Parameter steuern. Wird zu einem anderen Track umschaltest,
ändert sich dementsprechend auch die Zuweisung der Track
Regler. Die
speziellen Clip-Status Anzeigen und Rückmeldungen kann nur die
Matrix
des APC40 darstellen. Die Matrix ist nicht auf 40 Clips limitiert: sie
kann gescrollt und verschoben werden, wodurch der Zugriff auf eine
endlose Anzahl an Cells möglich ist.
Der APC40 besitzt eine
Vielzahl an Controllern. Die acht Global Regler können vier
Control
Bänke aktivieren; die acht Track Regler können
jeweils bis zu neun
verschiedene Track Parameter steuern, wodurch insgesamt 72 dynamische
zugewiesene Controller zur Verfügung stehen. Die Kanalfader,
Busfader
sowie ein Crossfader ermöglichen die komfortable Steuerung von
Pegeleinstellungen. Zusätzliche Bedienelemente und zwei
zuweisbare
Fußschaltereingänge stehen für Tap Tempo,
Tempo Nudge, Record Enable,
Solo/Cue Funktionen bereit.

the agenda for 2009: Ableton Live 8, Ableton Suite 8,
new instruments
and three completely new product initiatives.
Live 8 and Suite 8 enhance the Ableton
vision of creative, real-time
digital music with a wealth of new techniques, effects and most-wanted
workflow improvements. These include a new groove engine, revamped
warping techniques, live looping, five new effects (including the
Ableton Vocoder), crossfades in the Arrangement View, group tracks and
a reworked MIDI editor. Ableton Suite 8 includes all that plus
a
massive, inspired sound library and all the instruments a musician
could hope for, including a wide range of synths, a sampler, electric
and acoustic drums (new: Latin percussion), mallets (new: Collision),
numerous sampled instruments and a new, even-mightier Operator.
New in Ableton Live 8:
- New groove engine: new groove library, extract grooves from
audio or MIDI, real time groove quantize
- New warping engine: warp audio events by adjusting the
events on
the timeline, updated Beats Warp Mode, new Complex Warp Mode, slice
audio files to MIDI tracks based on transients
- Looper: classic sound-on-sound looping without the
limitations of a
hardware device. Record, overdub, undo and more without touching the

Touch: dedicated controllers for Ableton Live
Ableton and Akai Professional are proud to announce the APC40,
a new
hardware controller specially designed for Ableton Live. The APC40
features high quality controls for real-time mixing, remixing and
production. 109 buttons, 16 endless encoders with LED rings, nine 45mm
faders and a replaceable crossfader give musicians and producers
complete control of Live's Session View, effect devices and virtual
instruments. For anyone in the studio or on stage, DJing, making beats,
running backing tracks, firing MIDI loops or triggering sound effects,
it's time to kiss the mouse goodbye.
